Randy Sams Announces Candidacy for State Senate
Randy Sams announced his intention to seek the State Senate District 16 seat, on the Republican ticket, in the March 3, Primary Election. The current Senator, Kim Hammer, is not running for re-election. District 16 includes a portion of Saline and Pulaski Counties.
“I have lived in Saline County for over 47 years, and I feel I have the experience to represent this district as our conservative voice in the Arkansas State Senate. We have several pressing issues that we must deal with as a state. One is to address access to healthcare, sky rocketing health insurance premiums and the cost of prescription drugs. In addition, we need to make sure our citizens are protected from illegal immigrants through state level enforcement especially on our roads and highways. I am also a strong believer in education, both traditional and vocational, because we must always be able to offer industry an educated workforce. I am looking forward to reaching out to people as I travel the district asking for their support and vote. If elected, I promise to always be available to listen to your concerns and work to solve additional issues that are important to you.”
